Question 1

How does the AI search work?

Accepted Answer

Describe what you need in plain words: a mood, a scene, an instrument, an energy. The search matches on meaning rather than tags, so a brief like "tense for an interview" finds the right track even when nobody tagged it that way. In the music , type the scene, mood or style, or paste a reference link. You can also add a brief (PDF), a screenshot or a reference recording. Listen to every result, open its versions and stems, and keep refining. Search is free and needs no plan.

Question 2

Can I search with a YouTube or Spotify link?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paste a YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer link, or just the artist and title. We identify the recording through public or authorized metadata, compare a permitted preview clip by sound (tempo, instrumentation, texture and energy) and return the AINSOF tracks that sound closest to it. SoundCloud and TikTok links are not supported: SoundCloud publishes no clip we are permitted to analyze, and TikTok identifies the post caption rather than the recording. Give the artist and title instead. We never download a commercial recording. The only audio we use is the 30-second preview those stores publish for third parties. The results are AINSOF tracks, never the reference itself.

Question 3

How do I find tracks similar to one I like?

Accepted Answer

Start from any AINSOF track and find tracks that sound like it. You can also mark a few seconds of it, such as the hook or the quiet bar before the drop, and get tracks that share that sound, with the matching passage marked in each one. On a track's full mix or a version, choose Find similar by segment . Segments do not work on a stem mix; choose the full mix or a version first.

Question 4

How do I browse and sort the catalog?

Accepted Answer

In the music you can browse by playlists, genres, moods, effects and artists. Quick filters show the latest tracks, only tracks with stems, editor tools (risers, impacts and sound design) and the tracks you saved. Results can be sorted by best match, catalog order, newest release first, BPM (slowest or fastest first), length (shortest or longest first) or title. Sound effects have their own shelf at sound effects .

Question 5

How do I save tracks and make playlists?

Accepted Answer

Press Save this track to keep a track; your saved tracks are under Saved in the music. Press + on any track to start a playlist, and name it after the spot you are working on. Your playlists are listed in your account under Playlists .

Question 6

Can I find music by uploading my video?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the music , press Search by video , upload your video and get music that fits it. Working with a video needs a quick sign-in with Google or email. See also How does Sync to video work?

Question 7

How does Sync to video work?

Accepted Answer

Load your video in the music and try the selected version of any track with your video, against your own picture, before you choose. Your video is kept in My videos for 30 days after you last use it, so you can come back to it, try music on it and download it. Then it is deleted. You can delete it yourself at any time. A downloaded synced video stays available to you for seven days. Anything you sync without a plan or a single-track license is for auditioning only and may not be published.

Question 8

How do I cut a track to my exact length?

Accepted Answer

Fit to length gives you the same track at the length you need, for example 7, 15, 20 or 45 seconds, at the nearest musical length: its opening, a jump of whole bars where both sides sound alike, and its real ending. It is never stretched and never faded in the middle. Ask for stems and every stem is cut at the same points. To your video: give your video's length and the music ends with the picture. Hit point: name the second of the reveal or the logo, and the track's peak lands there. Loop: whole bars that flow straight back into the start, for menus, games and backgrounds. Anyone can preview any track fit to any length. An edit and its download package are kept for seven days, then deleted. Downloading needs an account with a plan.

Question 9

Can I make my own mix from the stems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On a track with stems, open Stems to mute (M) or solo (S) each stem and set its level in dB, then press Download this mix . Downloading needs a plan or a single-track license for that track. Use it to mute what fights the dialogue, raise what carries the scene, or drop the drums for the first act.

Question 10

Can AINSOF score my video for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from your AI assistant. Give it a video, as a file or a link, with a line of brief. AINSOF measures the video (duration, shot boundaries, pacing and edit rhythm), selects a matching track and synchronizes it to the picture, with transitions, silence and musical changes on real cut points, and mixes it under any dialogue. You get an MP4 back. With deliver_score you also get timed MP3 audio sections named with their start timecodes, for placing on your timeline, and the cue sheet. Working with a video asks for a quick sign-in on ainsof.io (Google or email). By sending a video you confirm you hold the rights to it, or have permission from whoever does. Scored videos are deleted after seven days.

Question 11

How do I send a video from my computer?

Accepted Answer

When the video is on your own machine, your AI assistant gives you a one-time upload link. Sign in with Google or email, choose the file (MP4, MOV, M4V or WebM, up to 512 MB) and upload it. It goes straight to private AINSOF storage and never passes through your AI conversation. Then go back to the chat and say the upload finished. We cannot take a video from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion or Twitch, because their terms forbid it. Use a direct file link, Dropbox, Google Drive or the upload link instead. An uploaded original is deleted after it has been processed, or after two hours if it is not used.

Question 12

What details are shown for each track?

Accepted Answer

Open a track to see its style, mood and instruments, who wrote it, its tempo, key and length, its ISRC and its track ID. Tracks with lyrics have a Read lyrics button. Click a style, mood, instrument or writer to see more music like it.

Question 13

How do I get credits and cue sheet details?

Accepted Answer

Ask your AI assistant for the cue sheet. cue_sheet gives the ISRC, tempo, key, publisher, and every writer with their IPI, society and performance share. We control master and publishing, so these are stated facts, not estimates. get_track gives one track in full, with composer, IPI and publisher. A cue sheet is not a license. See Do I need to file cue sheets?

Question 14

What tools does AINSOF have?

Accepted Answer

Every tool works in your AI assistant through MCP, and over REST through the API, at the same address. Search search_music: describe what you need in plain words, or name a track, album, ISRC or composer. search_by_reference: send a YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer link and get tracks that sound like it. find_similar: start from an AINSOF track, or mark a few seconds of it, and get tracks that sound like it. browse_tag and browse_playlist: open a genre, mood, instrument, use or playlist in the website's order. listen_link: a link to hear one version or stem in full. about_ainsof: who AINSOF is and how licensing works, from the source. Video analyze_video: measures your video without changing it: length, frame rate, audio, shots and cutting pace. find_soundtrack: give the length and what the video shows, get tracks with the version that fits that duration. score_my_video: send a video link and get an MP4 back with music placed on the real cuts. get_upload_link: a one-time upload address for a video on your own computer. Cut to time fit_to_length: a track at the length you need, to your video's length, with its peak on a chosen second, or as a seamless loop. Delivery and rights get_track: one track in full: every version and stem, composer with IPI, publisher, tempo, key and length. cue_sheet: ISRC, tempo, key, publisher and every writer with IPI, society and share. deliver_score: the scored video, audio sections named by timecode, and the cue sheet. feedback: tell us how an answer landed, sent only with your consent. Every plan includes all AI tools and MCP, with no monthly credits. See AINSOF MCP and the API .

Question 15

Can I tell you when a result is wrong?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell your AI assistant how an answer landed, for example "none of these fit". With the feedback tool it is sent to our team only after your explicit consent, so the people who choose and tag the music can see where we are getting it wrong. We store the sentence, which tool it was about and the track or brief it concerned, nothing else from the conversation. You can tell the agent not to send feedback at all. Sharing feedback may not change future results. You can also write to info@ainsof.io .
