Copyright & Claims

Question 1

Why did my video get a copyright claim?

Accepted Answer

AINSOF music is registered with the systems that platforms use to recognize music, so a video that uses our music can receive a copyright claim even when your use is licensed. That is expected, and for a licensed use it does not mean you did anything wrong. We help with claims on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Claims can also come from someone else. Whoever filed it, send it to us and our team will look into it. To send it, open Copyright claims in your account and press Submit a copyright claim . See How do I send us a claim?

Question 2

How do I send us a claim?

Accepted Answer

Send it from your AINSOF account, signed in with the account you used to license the music. Open Copyright claims in your account . Press Submit a copyright claim . Choose where you got the claim: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. Paste the link to the video or post. Tick the AINSOF tracks in it. The tracks you licensed or downloaded with your account are listed; if one is missing, type its name. Tell us who filed the claim, or tick I don't know who filed it . Add a screenshot of the claim and a short note if you have them, then press Send request . Your name and email come from your account. You see a request number right away, we email it to you, and you can follow the request in the same place. One request can include up to 10 tracks. A screenshot can be a PNG, JPG or WebP image of up to 8 MB. You can also email info@ainsof.io with the link and the email of your AINSOF account.

Question 3

What happens after I send a request?

Accepted Answer

Our team checks every request by hand, including the license on your account. You can follow it in Copyright claims in your account , where it shows one of these: Received : we have your request. In review : we are checking it. In progress : we are working on the claim. We need more information : we will contact you by email with what we need. Claim released : the claim has been released. We also email you. Closed : the request is finished. When the claim is released, we email you. If we need anything from you, we contact you by email. How long a claim takes depends on the platform and on who filed it, so we cannot promise a time.

Question 4

What information do you need about a claim?

Accepted Answer

The link to the video or post that received the claim The AINSOF track or tracks in it Who filed the claim, as the platform shows it, if you know A screenshot of the claim, if you have one Send the request from the AINSOF account you licensed the music with, so we can see your license. We use the screenshot only to handle your claim.

Question 5

What if I don't know who filed the claim?

Accepted Answer

That is fine. In the request form, tick I don't know who filed it and send it. A screenshot of the claim helps us find it.

Question 6

Do I need to dispute the claim myself?

Accepted Answer

Not for a claim that comes from the registration of our music. Send it to us from Copyright claims in your account and our team takes it from there. If someone else filed the claim, we check it and tell you what we find. Any dispute on the platform itself is filed from your own account there. If you have already disputed the claim, or the platform asked you for anything, tell us in the note so we have the full picture.

Question 7

Claims on YouTube

Accepted Answer

On YouTube, a claim on music is usually a Content ID claim. YouTube says a Content ID claim is not a copyright strike. Depending on the claimant's settings, a claimed video may show ads with the revenue going to the claimant, or it may be tracked or restricted. You can see who filed the claim in YouTube Studio: open the video, then the copyright details under its restrictions. To send it to us, choose YouTube in Copyright claims in your account and paste the video link (a watch, Shorts or youtu.be link).

Question 8

Claims on Facebook and Instagram

Accepted Answer

Facebook and Instagram can recognize music in a video or reel and show you a copyright notice about it. To send it to us, choose Facebook or Instagram in Copyright claims in your account and paste the link to the video, reel or post. A screenshot of the notice helps.

Question 9

Claims on TikTok

Accepted Answer

TikTok can recognize music in a video and send you a notice about it. To send it to us, choose TikTok in Copyright claims in your account and paste the link to the video. A screenshot of the notice helps.

Question 10

My plan has ended. Is my video still licensed?

Accepted Answer

A production you published while your plan was active, within that plan's uses, stays licensed for good, including after the plan ends. If it receives a claim, send it to us as usual. New productions published after your plan has ended need an active plan, even if you downloaded the music earlier. What you publish under a single-track or sound-effect license stays licensed for good.

Question 11

Can I register AINSOF music in Content ID?

Accepted Answer

No. Registering a track, or a production built on it, in YouTube Content ID or any other content-identification system is not allowed, and neither is claiming it as your own with a collecting society, distributor or publisher. See What is not allowed?

Question 12

Do I need to file cue sheets?

Accepted Answer

Where a production is broadcast or publicly performed, please file a cue sheet where one is required. Plans and single-track licenses include the cue sheet details for that purpose: ask AINSOF in ChatGPT or Claude for a track's cue sheet, or write to info@ainsof.io . Your license does not include performance royalties: the writer's and publisher's share stays with the composers and publishers, through their performing rights organizations.

Question 13

Is AINSOF music registered with performing rights organizations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every work is registered and administered through the performing rights organizations, with writers, publishers and splits filed correctly. The paperwork exists and the rights are traceable. Your license does not include performance royalties; they stay with the composers and publishers. See Do I need to file cue sheets?

Question 14

Who owns the music?

Accepted Answer

All music in the catalog, with its artwork and metadata, is and remains the property of AINSOF and its composers. We control master and publishing, so one agreement covers both. A license lets you use the music; it transfers no ownership.
